For more than one hundred years film (and later television and games) have captured the imagination of human beings, providing a portal into possibility. These entertainment mediums have inspired, excited, terrified and generally shone a light into the soul of the Universe.
In every case, they have activated emotions that have lead to changes in the perceptions of the viewing or participating audience. Experiential reality is nothing but a perception. Where we can alter perception, we can fundamentally alter reality.
